The 2025 edition of the Los Angeles Auto Show is a Hyundai and Kia showcase.
Hyundai used a media preview on Nov. 20 to demonstrate how it may expand its light-truck portfolio, now dominated by crossovers and a lifestyle pickup, with a rugged SUV, the Crater, in the mold of the Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco.
Kia aims to build on the success of the Telluride with a second-generation redesign that adds headroom, rear room and a hybrid for the first time.

Can Ford and its pickup family make it six in a row? The Ford Maverick Lobo is a finalist for 2026 North American Truck of the Year but faces a formidable challenge from the Ram 1500 Hemi and Ram 2500 heavy duty.
Ford has captured top truck honors every year since 2021, when the F-150 took the top prize, as voted on by a panel of automotive journalists. We have a roundup of all the finalists for 2026 North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the year.
