Longbow's Sub-2000-Pound EV Sports Car Looks Sensational Back in March, a new EV company called Longbow announced a plan to build a lightweight electric sports car that would be ready for the road as early as next year. Six months later, that project has led to the completion of the company's first "aesthetic dynamic demonstrator." In other words, Longbow already has something resembling its final car. This model, the Speedster, is a windscreen-free two-seater; another model called the Roadster was previously announced in March as a more conventionally-enclosed coupe equivalent. Longbow plans to build the roofless variant to some pretty impressive benchmarks: 0-60 miles per hour in 3.5 seconds, a curb weight under 2000 pounds, 275 miles of range on the European WLTP cycle, and a U.K. MSRP equivalent to just under $112,000.
