GM will have a busy 2024 when it comes to EVs

GM Expects to Build 200,000 to 300,000 EVs This Year        GM now has quite a few EVs in its lineup, but it's still difficult to tell if collectively they're making a dent in the overall EV adoption rate—or even if it's enough to see GM reach EV-only status by 2035.    It certainly hasn't helped matters that for much of the last year we were showered with stories of a slowdown in demand for electric models, which sparked a few price wars among EV makers.     On the company's latest earnings call with Wall Street analysts, General Motors CEO Mary Barra shed some light on the automaker's progress toward that 2035 goal.     But she also had some interesting things to say about plug-in hybrids and their role in GM's lineup as a stepping stone in the EV direction, as well as the company's robotaxi venture now facing some serious headwinds.    Here's how GM's 2024 EV outlook is shaping up. READ THE FULL STORY This Is What the Jeep Wagoneer S Interior Looks Like      Not one but two electric Jeeps are on the way this year, and the automaker has recently shared quite a bit of info about what will be its electric flagship.     The Wagoneer S, as it will be known, was first glimpsed back in 2022, and now that it's months away from deliveries, we've finally gotten a first look at its interior.    And the screen count alone is impressive.     But the Wagoneer S promises to be a landmark model for reasons other than how many screens it will have.
