Car of the Week: 1957 Jeep FC-150

Car of the Week: 1957 Jeep FC-150

The Jeep FC-150 was short-lived and not the prettiest thing around, but guys like Earl Pamperin still love 'em.

When Earl Pamperin shows up at a car show in his rare 1937 Willys sedan, he can be pretty sure it will be the only one there.

When the Juneau, Wis., resident decided he needed another unique orphan vehicle in his life, he wanted it to be as rare as his '37. His shiny 1957 Willys FC-150 pickup definitely fills the bill. And not only are car and truck from the same Willys bloodline, they share a similar restoration story.

Collector Car Appreciation Day is July 14th

Show your love and appreciation for the classics. On July 14th show your old car pride. SEMA has made it easy to spread the word.

SEMA SAN - The Co-Chairs of the SEMA-supported Congressional Automotive Performance and Motorsports Caucus introduced U.S. House Resolution 573 (H. Res. 573) at the request of the SEMA Action Network (SAN) recognizing July 14, 2023 as "Collector Car Appreciation Day (CCAD)."

If you or someone you know is hosting a vehicle-related gathering in July—whether public or private—submit the details on the SAN website if you haven't done so already! Those planning to celebrate with a virtual gathering (online event, livestream, digital gallery, etc.) are welcome to provide details for official inclusion.

Pontiac Transportation Museum plays canvas to Pontiac mural

Celebrating Independence Day with Pontiac's history of the transportation industry and AkzoNobel's 116-year supplier legacy, AkzoNobel unveils mural at the Pontiac Transportation Museum

NASHVILLE, Tenn., — AkzoNobel  celebrated Independence Day by unveiling a mural at the new Pontiac, Michigan Transportation Museum. The museum is expected to open later this year and will honor the industrialization of this community and the many people whose work inspired these efforts. Through the museum's existing and growing collections, they will help educate and inspire young people to chart their own destiny in an increasingly digital world. The museum will be in a 55,000 square foot facility featuring vehicle and artifact display galleries, a theater, research library, classrooms and restoration spaces.
