92-year-old grandfather has a penchant for rescuing and resurrecting big, old trucks, such as Macks, Internationals and the sole surviving Klondike.

"A one-of-a-kind," says Jean Prince when describing her 92-year-old grandfather, Gilbert Burmester, of Loganville, Wis. Her description comes from her grandfather's serious obsession with local history, and his lifelong passion for rescuing and resurrecting big, old trucks, such as Macks, Internationals and the sole surviving Klondike.

The return of the Mustang convertible

A look back at the 1980-1982 Ford Mustang CABRIO

Forty-three years ago, there was much excitement surrounding the debut of the all-new 1979 Ford Mustang. This was the fifth styling interpretation of the original 1965 Mustang, and still captured the long hood and short deck persona of the original.

For 1979, Mustang now featured crisp, hard-edge lines that not only improved the looks of the pony car, but also made it more aerodynamic. In addition, the new Mustang was bigger inside and out than the previous Pinto subcompact-based Mustang II of 1974 to 1978, as the 1979 Mustang now shared the new and larger Fox-body platform with other Ford models.

     
     

When Subaru got sexy!

The sporty, new Subaru XT sport coupe was created to take on Nissan and Toyota for the "sporty" market share.

Introduced in early 1985, the sporty, new Subaru XT sport coupe was offered in three trim levels: DL and GL, both of which were front-wheel drive, and the 4WD Turbo. XT styling was dramatic with a wedge-shape profile using a sharp, low nose, a low roof, a high trunk and large wheel openings.
