Car of the Week: The Last Buick Grand National

The story behind the last 1987 Buick Grand National. The Buick with only 33 miles on the odometer is a time capsule of love.

Dec. 11, 1987, is a day that lives in infamy for fans of traditional General Motors coupes. It was on that day that the last of the popular rear-wheel-drive Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, Chevrolet Monte Carlo and Buick Regal rolled off the assembly line. Of these, the very last was a Buick Regal, and not just any Regal, but a hot Grand National.

Old Cars We'd Buy That: 1969 AMC SC/Rambler

We'd love to rock this red, white and blue homage to American muscle. Yeah, we'd love to buy this 1969 AMC SC/Rambler.

There are so many cars on the menu in Mecum's upcoming Kissimmee Auction that we'd love to have ... we could just cover our eyes and point to one.

This one definitely stands out as one we'd steal, if that sort of thing were legal. There were only 1,152 of these hairy 1969 SC/Ramblers built in that memorable red-white-and-blue paint scheme. They were always viewed as these weird little outliers in the muscle car world, but not many are left and it sure would be fun to have one.
