Sony and Honda's Afeela electric sedan project is getting more real with each passing month. And this week we learned just how much it's going to cost buyers when it goes on sale. It's worth recalling a few other numbers.
The sleek fastback will be powered by a 91-kWh battery, with Honda citing a range of around 300 miles. So it won't be setting any range or performance records right out the gate. The main event, however, will be all the Sony tech inside. And this includes a PS5.
But you won't be able to buy it everywhere, even though it will be built in Ohio. The sedan is first headed to one particular state, one that's easy enough to guess. Here's when we'll see it, and how much you'll realistically need to be able to buy one if you want it in a color other than the base black.
The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas has been a major annual event for the EV world for some time, with automakers revealing new vehicles and systems that we'll see in cars we'll be able to buy. And this year is no different with Waymo showing off its new electric robotaxi, and Honda bringing the 0 Series EVs to the show. But CES is more than just about new car launches. Flying cars are still on the way, allegedly. And so are underwater bulldozers. Here are a few of our favorite things from CES this year.
Tesla's Smart Summon feature, which let drivers remotely pilot their cars to their exact location over short distances, has been available for some time now, and has recently received a major update as well as a new name. But now the NHTSA has opened a preliminary investigation into Actually Smart Summon, citing slow response times by the app that don't give users much time to react.
And there appears to be no shortage of footage of parking lot mishaps on social media. Here's what's going on with this new probe.
