Lucid Gets $1.5 Billion from PIF after Q2 Loss Just like Polestar, Lucid has been on the cusp of becoming a regularly seen brand in traffic, at least around the major US cities on the two coasts. But breaking into Tesla territory will take a while longer, it seems. Lucid recently revealed its quarterly production and delivery numbers, painting an improving picture. But the EV maker still posted a pretty hefty net loss. Fortunately, Lucid has no trouble coming up with significant sums to keep itself going, and has just received a $1.5 billion commitment from its main financial backer, buying itself some time as another major event looms.
