Welcome to today's edition of the Daily 5.
We've covered a spate of Stellantis litigation involving suppliers and dealers. Well, another nasty lawsuit has emerged out of New York where dualed Alfa Romeo and Maserati dealerships in Great Neck, N.Y., have sued Stellantis and Maserati North America for denying an application to transfer the franchises.
"Not many people are interested in buying Alfa Romeo and Maserati vehicles, let alone dualed Alfa Romeo-Maserati dealerships right now," Gold Coast Alfa Romeo and Gold Coast Maserati said in the lawsuit.
Meanwhile, we published multiple stories today about future products, with more to come this evening.
The scoop of the day from Reporter Mike Martinez says Ford's top brass signaled to their dealers that big plans are ahead for the Mustang marque, including new gasoline-powered Mustang variants, along with a Maverick-based van and possible low-cost EVs.
We also have compelling product news from BMW and Acura. Looking ahead, watch for more coverage from Monterey Car Week in California.
And stay tuned for some fresh U.S. registration data, which insiders know gives a clearer view on how well vehicles are selling in the U.S. Yes, that includes Teslas.
That's it for now. Have a great rest of your day!
