A Duesenberg SJN returned to its original pristine appearance
In late 1934 or early 1935, Duesenberg management decided to order on spec a small run of more modern-looking bodies to mount on remaining Model J chassis. These bodies were kept at the ready and marketed as ready-to-sell. The idea was to create an impression of greater financial stability, and to sell the last remaining Duesenberg chassis. (Starting in 1929, Duesenberg planned to sell 500 Model Js a year, but by the mid 1930s, it still had not sold all of the chassis and engines from its initial order of 500.)

Hershey, PA - On Saturday, December 16th, join the AACA Museum for "Porsche Wins at Pikes Peak — Race to the Clouds." The live event features Brumos Racing driver David Donohue and is hosted by noted concours master of ceremonies Bill Rothermel. David shares his experience behind the wheel of the Brumos #59 Porsche GT2 RS Clubsport at the Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Competing in the 2023 international event's Time Attack 1 division, David clocked a new TA1 qualifying record of 03:53.618, besting his 2022 record of 03:55.750. He went on to place 1st among Porsche contenders and 3rd overall at the competition.
The event kicks off at 10 a.m with a meet and greet followed by David's presentation and a light lunch. The Brumos #59 Porsche is displayed courtesy of The Brumos Collection. Race video footage from the driver's perspective allows guests to experience the thrill of the race.
