Welcome to the Daily 5 report for Friday, Aug. 22.
When you import every vehicle you sell here, it's quite likely you will have to raise prices.
Here's an example: Even as U.S. and European Union leaders work on a trade deal to reduce auto tariffs, Audi of America is implementing price increases across its portfolio for the 2026 model year as it grapples with tariffs.

The price increases for 2026 range from $800 to $4,700, depending on model and trim, and come amid a U.S. sales slump for the German luxury brand.
The electric Q4 E-tron compact crossover sees the smallest price increase, $800, or 1.6 percent, to $51,895, while pricing will rise $4,700, or 3.7 percent, to $131,295 for the low-volume S8 large sedan, Audi said Aug. 21.
Vehicles from the EU face a tariff of 27.5 percent, but that could be reduced to 15 percent in the coming weeks as part of a trade pact with the U.S.
Audi is also shrinking its U.S. sedan lineup — again.
Audi will offer the A7 large sedan in only the high-performance RS 7 variant for the 2026 model year after dropping the standard A7 and sportier S7. Audi said the redesigned A6 sedan will represent the brand in the midsize sport sedan segment.
The next-generation A6 is set for a U.S. launch by early 2026.
