Honda Is Suddenly Scaling Back EV Plans The oft-mentioned slowdown in EV demand of the past two years has sometimes been labeled a mirage in EV circles, even as automaker sales data and generous incentives have been deployed to sweeten EV sales. But one very real effect of the purported cooling in demand, whether it's real or not, is that some automakers are making drastic changes to their upcoming vehicle plans, and are reorienting their resources to hybrids of all types while cutting back future EV offerings.
