2025 Audi Q6 and SQ6 e-tron Prototype Drive Previews a New EV Era
Audi kicked off its electric SUV offerings years ago with the e-tron, later renamed Q8, and the smaller Q4 e-tron. And soon it will be the turn of the middle sibling, with the arrival of the Q6 e-tron Quattro and its sportier SQ5 sibling.
Intended as electric alternatives to the Q5 and SQ5, the duo will be based on the new Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture developed with Porsche.
This means all-new electric motors, designed to be even quieter and more efficient, with power coming from a 93.0-kWh battery featuring prismatic-type lithium-ion cells.
Among other things, the Q6 e-tron promises a range of 372 miles in the WLTP cycle, and very quick recharges.
But what is it like to actually drive?
We went to the Faroe Islands, positioned just between Iceland and Norway, to try the prototypes.
