Porsche's Vision 357 Speedster Debuts at Goodwood This week Porsche took the wraps off the Vision 357 Speedster concept at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Designed as a companion to the Vision 357 concept, revealed earlier this year, which used a mid-mounted 4.0-liter flat-six, the latest Speedster concept trades the flat-six for a battery-electric powertrain with a motor at each axle. In fact, the concept borrows much of the tech from the 718 GT4 e-Performance, including an 82-kWh battery, while using the 718 GT4 Clubsport chassis. Despite the advanced tech underneath, this concept still finds time for plenty of vintage styling touches demanded by the Speedster name. But even the instrument panel has been given a futuristic upgrade. Read on to find out more about this concept. |

Hyundai Adds 600 Horsepower Ioniq 5 N Hot Hatch Goodwood debuts aren't all about concepts that will remain out of reach for most car enthusiasts. This year Hyundai is using the annual extravaganza to reveal the Ioniq 5 N, dramatically dialing up the performance of its stylish electric hatch. The standard Ioniq 5, of course, already produces a healthy 320 horsepower. But instead of just giving it more power, the automaker started by beefing up a number of systems, including the steering and the axles. Quite a lot of work went into tuning the brakes and accelerator mapping, while also adding a drag mode and a drift mode. And that's before we get to all the exterior tweaks. The result is 600 hp in a modestly sized package ready for the track and the street. Read on to discover all the special ingredients that went into making the Ioniq 5 N.

Canoo's NASA Crew Transports Get Ready For Takeoff Canoo's unique aesthetic appears to have found a home at NASA, with the EV startup revealing three Crew Transport Vehicles this week just for astronauts. The trio of electric MPVs will soon carry NASA's Artemis lunar program crew from the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral to the launch pad, taking over duties from the Airstream motorhomes that had been used for this task during the space shuttle program. The electric minivans, with room for seven, will of course be modified for NASA's needs, as they will have to carry special equipment along with the individual astronauts. "We are thrilled to be a part of the Artemis missions and to deliver NASA's first zero-emission built for mission crew transportation vehicles," said Tony Aquila, Chairman and CEO of Canoo. And we already know that we're going to need these Crew Transport Vehicles in 1:64 scale with NASA Artemis graphics even before the missions blast off. Read on to find out just when we'll see these make the nine-mile journey to the launch pad.
