Car of the Week: 1965 Chevrolet Corvette

This big-block 'Vette was once a daily driver and has racked up well over 180,000 miles. It is still bringing the smiles!

Not a lot of guys get to brag about how many times they've gotten their Corvette stuck in the snow.

Herb Grube jokes that it's happened to him so many times he's lost count.

The Greenville, Wis., resident used his Corvette as a daily driver for 18 years and rolled up most of its 180,000-plus miles driving back and forth to work and as his primary transportation. The car originally came from Pennsylvania, but has accompanied Grube and his family to stints in Georgia, Florida and Ohio before they wound up in Wisconsin.

We'd buy that: 1969 Chevrolet COPO Camaro clone

A no-nonsense COPO Camaro clone checks all the boxes. All the thriller without the filler... Yeah, we'd buy that!

This awesome '69 Camaro was apparently re-done as a COPO clone and is currently owned by the same Kentucky dealership that sold it originally!

It was a 427 car originally and has been given a 454 V-8 by a previous owner. It's got a 4-speed, limited-slip differential, rear spoiler, cowl-induction hood, Hurst shifter ... and it would surely look and sound awesome rolling up to the local cruise-in.

Man, we'd love to take this baby out and scare a few local punks at some stoplights in town. Yeah, it's sort of a tribute kinda car ... but anytime we hear "COPO" and "Camaro" in the same sentence, we're in!

Get ready for show season... No need to wait!

If you don't have any genuine Old Cars gear, it's time to get some! We've got great stuff for your car show season, and a lot of cool Father's Day gift ideas in our store.
