Here's What the Lucid Gravity EV SUV Promises This week Lucid gave the EV world the first detailed glimpse of its second model, dubbed Gravity, with the automaker planning a no less spectacular follow up to the Air sedan. The luxury SUV's exterior and interior designs were previewed from several angles, giving us a good sense of what to expect. Lucid says we can expect nothing short of "more range than any other EV on the market," with the sole exception of its Air sedan, which tops out at 520 miles. That's a big promise, given the fact that the SUV will be substantially taller and quite a bit heavier. "Gravity builds upon everything we have achieved thus far, driving further advancements of our in-house technology to create a luxury performance SUV like none other," said Peter Rawlinson, CEO and CTO, Lucid Group. "Just as Lucid Air redefined the sedan category, so too will Gravity impact the world of luxury SUVs, setting new benchmarks across the board." Read on to find out what to expect from the Gravity, and just when Lucid plans to start building it. |

The 2024 Fiat 500e Is the Urban EV We Need The Fiat 500e may not look all that different on the outside from the 500 that arrived stateside a decade ago, but the new model promises a very different experience from the first 500e, which you may or may not recall. And the good news is that it's actually on its way to the US, just in time to give Fiat dealers a new model to sell. "Today, more than ever, we are facing a global revolution, which means that customers are looking for more than just a car and we intend to embrace their changing needs," said Fiat CEO Olivier Francois. The new 500e could well be that tiny electric European city car that we've wanted to see here for years, now that the Nissan Leaf is no longer small, but without the dire range of other offerings—past and current—in the compliance class. Can the Fiat 500e deliver all of that? Read on to find out when to expect the 500e, and how much range to expect from it.

bZ Compact SUV Concept Could Be Toyota's Second EV Toyota has promised no fewer than 30 new EVs by 2030, but even those who follow the EV industry pretty closely will probably struggle to remember what's supposed to arrive after the bZ4X. Just a few days after Toyota revealed the bZ3 sedan—which we may or may not receive in some form stateside—it used the LA Auto Show to take the wraps off the bZ Compact SUV Concept. "We've only just begun to scratch the surface of the Beyond Zero moniker," said Toyota Group Vice President and General Manager David Christ. "With an aerodynamic design coupled with intuitive tech features never before seen in a Toyota model, the bZ Concept showcases another possible vision of the very near future with our battery electric vehicles." Is this a good indicator of what we might see stateside from the automaker in the near future? Read on to find out how soon we could see something like this on sale. |
