Musk Says No Volume Production for Tesla Cybertruck until 2025 The Tesla Cybertruck has been in development for so long we've seen other electric trucks arrive on sale—and even enter their second model years—that were originally revealed after its concept debut. It's also been in development long enough for its exterior design to go through a few changes, which may or may not please those who've put down a deposit for the truck. On the latest investor call this week Tesla CEO Elon Musk worked to allay some fears about the Cybertruck, while also dialing down production volume expectations. Tesla still has high hopes for hitting a major milestone with Cybertruck production starting in 2025. Quite a few details remain elusive, including the starting price, despite Tesla already publicizing a delivery event for late November of this year. That's right: the first delivery event is weeks away, but it's not clear just who will get these trucks and for how much. Here are a few other things Elon Musk mentioned during the conversation with investors. |
