Although know as the "Godfather of the GTO," Jim Wangers also did his magic on Chevrolets.
People associate Jim Wangers — "godfather of the GTO" — with Pontiac, but he had his hand in other makes of cars as well. Wangers built and sold a car called "The Milwaukee Classic" when he owned Jim Wangers Chevrolet, Inc., on Milwaukee's Green Bay Avenue in the early 1970s.

This is one of just 501 Mark Cross Edition Chrysler Town and Country convertibles built. Full disclosure: Not sure we've ever seen one of these in the flesh. But we're impressed with this baby. It's absolutely loaded, very advanced for its time, and gets 30+ MPG on the highway. It's a convertible with air conditioning ... AND it's a woodie.
On July 8th in South Bend, Indiana, The Concours d'Elegance at Copshaholm will showcase Amelia Earhart's 1937 Cord and Charlie Chaplin's 1936 Packard.
The Concours d'Elegance at Copshaholm is co-presented by LaVine Restorations & The JBS Collection and will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the Studebaker National Museum in South Bend, Indiana. The show field opens to the public at 10am and closes at 4pm.
