Better Nissan Leaf Goes Farther, Moves Up, Becomes an SUV Nissan revealed the third-generation Leaf in full this week, and this time around it's not quite the commuter hatch it once was. But it's still far enough away from the Ariya in size not to overlap with the larger electric crossover in the automaker's lineup. The biggest gain on paper (aside from exterior and interior dimensions) is the range, with Nissan expecting 303 miles in top form. And this time, owners will be able to charge the Leaf at Tesla Superchargers, which is a reality that would have been hard to picture just three short years ago.
