Porsche's Second EV Is Here with Power, Performance, and Class
The Macan has been nothing short of a runaway success for Porsche in the decade it's been with us, with the junior Cayenne model finding its audience very quickly and becoming the brand's best seller in a short span of time.
And now it's time for an electric version.
This week Porsche revealed details of a battery-electric Macan EV set to go on sale later this year. And if the numbers are any indication, this one will certainly live up to the hype of the PPE platform that will underpin it.
Slated to be offered in two main trims at launch, each with a 100-kWh battery, the hotter Turbo flavor will serve up 603 hp and well over 800 lb-ft of torque.
Lightning-quick launches will certainly be standard on the Turbo model, but even the more affordable trim will be quite capable, with both versions relying on AWD layouts. And both will be very quick to recharge as well.
But even the less powerful of the two trims will be Porsche-priced.
Here's what you need to know about Porsche's second EV model.
